Beyonce Knowles better brush up on her lullabies.

The 29-year-old singer is pregnant with her first child, the new Us Weekly reports.

Despite the happy news, no one was more surprised than the singer herself.

"B was shocked. She loves kids, but she wasn't ready to be a mother just yet," says a source of the singer, who married rapper Jay-Z in 2008. "She really wanted to get her album done and tour the world again."

Still, another insider says that the singer, who is in her first trimester, realizes that "this is a gift from God and she's so happy."

Friends of the couple are already expressing their well-wishes for the parents-to-be.

"Jay has been all about family since I met him, and he's always going to be," record executive Kevin Liles, who has known the rapper for years, tells Us. "I wish them the best."

Knowles' sister Solange -- and mom to Julez, 6 -- agrees.

"She's got the most beautiful heart," she tells Us of her big sis. "She'll be a great mom."

The passing  away of the pioneer dean of the Department of History,University of Buea, Cameroon, Professor Martin Zachary Mondinde Njeuma, has been described as a great loss to Cameroon and the rest ofAfrica. Professor Sammy Beban Chumbow who made this statement during the academic honours at the University of Yaounde [1] about late Professor Njeuma, disclosed that Professor Njeuma’s immense volume and quality of work made him very much needed as a keynote speaker at international conferences on African History or Social Sciences.

Prof. Chumbow explained that the late Professor had an active involvement with the Council for Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA). According to him, he was committed to re-writing African History from the African perspective and not with the spectacles of the colonial visitors who would claim to have ‘discovered’ rivers and mountains which had existed and people lived long in Africa before their arrival. Prof. Chumbow maintained that the departure of Martin Njeuma to eternity is untimely, even if he has attained the biblical ‘three scores and ten.’

On their part, members of the Record Club, St. Joseph’s College, Sasse-Buea, portrayed the deceased as a likeable eminent scholar whose intelligence, honesty and hard work brought pride to the 1953 Class and the entire college. He was one of the moving figures who founded the....

About 300 to 500 jobs are posted on Twitter per minute, according to Carmen Hudson, CEO and co-founder of Tweetajob. With that many shared opportunities, the task of filtering information becomes daunting — that’s why we have hashtags. They can help you focus on the tweets you want to see along with the ones you didn’t even know existed.

Hudson, whose company sends job tweets that match a job seeker’s location and career interests, says the numbers are true but come with a caveat. “Many of these jobs are duplicates, or from aggregators. It’s likely the number of real opportunities could be much lower. There is quite a bit of ‘job pollution’ on Twitter, because the job boards and many employers don’t target their job tweets.”

Nonetheless, the jobs are still there. The key is finding them. As a way to filter through the noise, Hudson recommends job seekers use hashtags to take full advantage of Twitter’s search functionality.
